Simulation and skills training

Simulation is increasingly utilized in our training in a new facility at the Western Health Centre for Research and Education. Anaesthesia staff are leading the development of simulation programs encompassing crisis management, team building and skills workshops. Sessions are provided for:

  • Advanced and basic life support
  • Advanced airway management
  • Can't intubated, can't oxygenate
  • Neonatal resuscitation
  • Massive haemorrhage
  • Anaphylaxis
  • Crisis resource management
  • Ultrasound and neural blockade
