Serving one of Australia’s most diverse communities, Western Health offers nurses the opportunity to care for people across a wide range of settings and health needs – from Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU) to Geriatric Services. This variety supports professional growth and provides exposure to complex care delivery.

 

Western Health is also a leader in healthcare research. We are proud of our partnership with the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre (VCCC) and our growing research presence in nursing and midwifery.

We are continually expanding and improving our facilities to support high-quality care. Major recent investments include:

  • new Footscray Hospital (currently under construction)
  • Sunshine Hospital Department redevelopment
  • Joan Kirner Women’s and Children’s Hospital
  • Western Centre for Health Research and Education (WCHRE).
