Victoria University Espresso thanks to frontline staff

02 Dec 2021

Our frontline workers at Western Health have been acknowledged by a Victoria University led campaign to shout healthcare workers a coffee. During the campaign, the university encouraged their staff and students to ‘shout a healthcare worker a coffee’ as a way of saying thank you.

News of the campaign spread across social media with the appeal featuring in TimeOut Melbourne. Over $9,000 was raised for grateful staff.

As well as buying staff a coffee, Victoria University culinary students prepared 400 meals as a way to say thank you to staff in our vaccination hubs. The mass production of meals gave students a real life experience to prepare large scale meals for events.

“During our long term partnership, Victoria University has worked with us on fundraising events as well as educating and training our future staff members,” said Melissa Grenville, Western Health Foundation Corporate Partnerships Manager.

“We are thankful for their continued support and going above and beyond to support our work.”
