Continence Service - Community Nursing

What we do

Our Continence Team provides assessments of your continence issues to promote better bladder and bowel health.  The team aims to improve your bladder and bowel issues, your independent and dignity. 

The team consists of:

  • a Continence Physiotherapist
  • Clinical Nurse Consultants.

Services and facilities

We provide assessment, education and support, including: 

  • applying for government funding for both washable and disposable products for you if you meet the eligibility criteria
  • bladder health
  • bowel health
  • bladder retraining
  • pelvic floor management.

Our Team will also review funding to assist you via Medicare and the Statewide Equipment Program if you are eligible.

Who this service is for

Patients in the Melton and Moorabool Shires. Some patients may be required to test their eligibility with NDIS and My Aged Care prior to commencing the service. NDIS services are available within the City of Melton and Moorabool Shires.
