Clinical Trials

The Department of Respiratory & Sleep Disorders Medicine at Western Health is actively involved in international clinical drug trials and non-drug trials.

If you are interested to volunteer to consider participating in trials, you may be eligible for one of the trials currently in progress. Alternatively we are always happy to have contact details for interested people for future trials as they become available.

We are seeking participants with the following conditions which have been formally diagnosed by a lung or respiratory specialist, or special testing via your GP:

  • Asthma and you are either a non-smoker or ex-smoker, and are taking regular inhaler medication.
  • Bronchiectasis.
  • COPD (emphysema or chronic bronchitis), if you are taking regular puffers on a daily basis and have had chest infections in the last year . You must have a smoking history either past or current.
  • Interstitial Lung Disease.

If you would like further information we encourage you to contact us directly.
