Children's Specialist Clinics and Adolescent Health Service

What we do

Children's Specialist Outpatient Clinics and Adolescent Health Service provide care for children and young people aged between 0-18 years.

We see young adults (between 15 and 25 years old) in our Young Adults Diabetes Service (YADS).

We provide:

  • Medical clinics for general medical follow up including newborns who spent time in the Special Care Nursery, developmental and behaviour screening and neurology
  • Surgical clinics for general surgical, orthopaedics (fractures), plastic surgery and Ear, Nose and Throat surgery
  • Endocrine clinics for diabetes (YADS) and children’s growth
  • Allied Health clinics for hips, hand therapy, dietetics and autism assessment

Access to this service

  • A GP referral is required for the majority of our children's and adolescent outpatient clinics
     
  • All Paediatric referrals must meet the Access Guidelines found on our Children's referrals page
     
  • Maternal and Child Health Nurses and Teachers may refer to some services ​
