New Board Chair for Western Health Foundation announced
Current Board member Glenn Hay has taken up the role of Chair for the Western Health Foundation.
As a lifetime Sunbury local and Western Bulldogs fan, Glenn has served on the Foundation board since January 2019. He has an extensive career in the health sector and a strong personal connection to Western Health.
Western Health Foundation Director, Julia Harper said it’s great to have someone with Glenn’s experience step up into the role.
"His connections and ambition will enable us to grow our impact and raise our profile. I’m excited to work alongside Glenn and continue to deliver the Foundation’s vision to be the charity of choice in Melbourne’s West."
Having spent the last 20 years in the private sector has seen him deliver and maintain critical health infrastructure for Victoria, including Casey Hospital, the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre and the New Footscray Hospital Project (currently under construction). Glenn is well positioned to help the Foundation expand its reach into the community.
Most recently, he retired from his role as Chief Operating Officer of Plenary Group, where he was responsible for the construction, delivery and ongoing asset management of Plenary's $15 billion infrastructure portfolio.
"At this stage in my career I’m looking to find ways to draw on my experience to continue the good work of the Board and ultimately support improving the healthcare offering in the west for all,"

“Melbourne’s west has a strong business community and I’m particularly looking forward to identifying ways to create long-term, strategic partnerships with businesses in the west.”
Currently, Glenn is also the Independent Chair of Evolution Rail and Non-Executive Director of various social infrastructure project boards across a number of sectors including: health, education, transport, tourism, research and justice.
