Areas of study

You can choose from programs in:

  • cardiac care
  • critical care
  • emergency nursing
  • perioperative nursing
  • paediatric nursing.

Many of these courses offer Commonwealth Supported Places (CSPs). Be sure to compare courses to see which ones include CSPs, which help reduce tuition fees.

Why study postgraduate nursing?

Postgraduate nursing can bring many benefits:

  • Combine work and study (keep learning while you’re employed).
  • Apply what you learn directly in your specialty area.
  • Open up academic pathways for future study, such as a master’s degree.
  • Receive a qualification allowance under the nursing/midwifery EBA.
  • You may be eligible for study leave (check your enterprise agreement).
