If you live close to our Bacchus Marsh Hospital our Hospital in the Home (HITH) trained staff can visit you in your home to administer a variety of treatments as ordered by a Medical Officer.

What we do

Our Hospital in the Home (HITH) trained staff visit you in your home to administer treatments as ordered by a Medical Officer. For example: treatment with antibiotics, assistance in diabetic stabilisation, and complex wound management.

 

You and your carer must agree for treatment to be provided at home and must live within easy reach of the Bacchus Marsh Hospital campus, as well as having access to a telephone and transport.

 

There is no cost for this service.

Who this service is for

This service is for you if you have an acute condition and would otherwise require hospitalisation for treatment.

Referrals

You will need a referral from you General Practitioner or from a Medical Specialist. Referrals are also accepted from other Hospital in the Home programs.
