Clinic Description Western Health runs MBS-funded Specialist Clinics on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons at Sunshine Hospital for patients requiring assessment and management of Haematology conditions.

Please note: Referrals that do not contain the minimum investigations will be returned with a request for more information. Referrers have 30 days to respond, otherwise the referral will not be accepted.
Exclusion Criteria None specified.
Red Flags – Refer Directly to ED if:
  • Significant bleeding
  • Severe thrombocytopenia (< 10 x 109/L)
How to Refer MBS patients are bulk billed. Referrals must be addressed to the named Head of Unit.
